In a burning apartment in Kiev, rescuers found a body with knife wounds

The police investigated the death and the circumstances of the fire in the apartment in the capital.

In the Desnyanskiy district of Kiev, on Sunday night, January 3, a fire broke out in an apartment on the 12th floor of a 24-story residential building. During the removal of the fire, rescuers found the body of a man with stab wounds. Reports from the press service of the State Emergency Service.

“On January 3 at 20:32, the operational coordination center of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kiev received a message about a fire that broke out on Mayakovsky Avenue, 1B, which is located in the district Desnyanskiy of the capital, “says the message.

During reconnaissance, firefighters discovered a human body.

“According to preliminary information, stab wounds were found on the body of the deceased man, so the cause of death and the circumstances of the fire are now being attended to by law enforcement,” said the State Emergency Service.

At 20:55 the fire was located and at 21:14 it was liquidated.

The State Emergency Service also pointed out that when they extinguished the fire, they again faced the problem of a yard parked with cars. To install the ladder, they had to wait for residents to take their cars, and law enforcement officers used a tow truck.

The day before, it was reported that a fire had been extinguished in a convent in the Khmelnytsky region.
