US President Donald Trump has asked his supporters not to resort to violence and vandalism during protests.
The president made a special statement to Fox News. At this time, the House of Representatives was discussing a resolution to impeach Trump.
“In light of the reports of new demonstrations, I call for no violence, no violation of the law or vandalism,” said the head of state.
He stressed that this is not what he and the United States need.
“I call on all Americans to help reduce the tension in society and calm their nerves. Thank you,” Trump said.
A presidential adviser told reporters that Trump is calling on all Americans to join him in ensuring an orderly and peaceful transfer of power to Joe Biden.
“This is a critical moment in the history of our country and, of course, we can all come together to convey this important message and not continue with party politics,” added Trump’s adviser.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the US House of Representatives began on January 13 to consider a draft resolution on the impeachment of the country’s current president, Donald Trump.
