The first tranche of $ 1.75 trillion is expected within a month.
The Verkhovna Rada expects to receive the first tranche from the International Monetary Fund within 3-4 weeks. This was told to journalists by the chairman of the finance committee Daniil Getmantsev, reports a RBC-Ukraine correspondent.
The deputy said that the size of the first tranche will be 1.75 billion dollars.
“We are counting 1.75 billion in 3-4 weeks, and then the same amount is still available by the end of the year,” Getmantsev said.
Recall, last week, the IMF refused to sign a three-year program with Ukraine. Instead, it is planned to sign the program for a period of 18 months.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance said that the amount of financial support from the IMF will not change. According to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, the signing of a new memorandum with the IMF should take place before the end of May.
In addition, RBC-Ukraine wrote that the IMF agrees to negotiate with Ukraine on a new program only after approval by the Verkhovna Rada of bank bill 2571-d. As noted in the Ministry of Finance, without the approval of this law, negotiations on an additional program are impossible.
