On May 14, the world’s largest furniture and home goods retailer, the Swedish company IKEA, officially launched the ability to order products from Ukraine’s online store. About this writes the agency “Interfax-Ukraine”, referring to the statement of the company.
The merchandise delivery points will operate in the Kiev shopping centers Auchan Rive Gauche and METRO Cash & Carry.
“Staying true to its desire to create a better everyday life for many people in Ukraine, IKEA is pleased to announce the start of work on the Ukrainian market and the launch of an online store. Currently, the Swedish retailer offers Ukrainian customers about 3,600 functional household items of all categories and styles with attractive design and prices. An order can be placed on the ikea.ua website, “the message said.
The ordered products can be collected at the collection points or delivered to your home.
IKEA cautioned that the site may not function properly for the first few days.
The statement also says that after the launch of the online store, IKEA plans to open the first store in Kiev as soon as possible.
Swedish IKEA is one of the world’s largest retail chains selling furniture and home goods. The company purchases goods from more than 1,300 suppliers in more than 50 countries.
In the spring of 2017, the company announced its intention to enter the Ukrainian market within two years. Subsequently, the plans for the time of the opening of the store in Kiev, as well as the level of the IKEA representative office in Ukraine changed several times.
On May 7, the company announced that it intends to launch an online store in Ukraine in a few days. For about a week, the site ran in trial mode, today the feature of buying goods has been available.
