To the suspect in organizing the murder of Amina Okueva Igor redkin the containment measure was changed: from detention he was transferred to house arrest.
This decision was made by the Court of Appeal, reports “Hromadske” with reference to the prosecutor’s office of the Kiev region.
At the same time, it is known that previously the court changed the moderation measure to other members of Redkin’s group, suspected of being involved in several high-profile contract killings.
Investigators believe that the group’s organizer is Igor Redkin, a native of the city of Kaspiysk, Dagestan. In Ukraine, he officially had a business in the IT field. At the same time, according to research, Redkin was a member of a gang that engaged in contract killings.
As you know, in September 2019, Redkin and six other members of the group were arrested on suspicion of two murders: the director of the company “Caparol Ukraine” Paul the mighty in September 2016 and the head of the advertising department of the Kiev Metro Pavel Milenky.
However, later, the Shevchenko court in Kiev released the defendants in the cases under house arrest and personal obligation. On January 12, 2020, Redkin was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Amina Okueva.
One of the key pieces of evidence against Redkin, law enforcement officials say, is the matching of DNA on the receiver of a submachine gun found near the crime scene. Other traces were found on the weapon, as the investigation is establishing who they are.
The same Redkin does not admit his involvement in Okueva’s murder and affirms that on the day of the crime his phone was in a different place, but the prosecution denies that this fact can be considered an alibi. In January 2021, the court extended his arrest, although several other defendants had previously been released from custody.
