Boryspil International Airport canceled some flights due to bad weather in Ukraine. Also the Kiev airport is temporarily closed.
«Due to difficult weather conditions at Boryspil International Airport, some flights landed at reserve airports or decided to return to departure airports. Starting at 20:30, these flights are: Belavia – BRU845, LOT – LOT7KU, Windrose – WRC 114, WRC 104, WRC 164, WRC124 ”, reported the airport press service.
Boryspil staff are processing the platform and the tracks; 15 teams were involved to ensure takeoff and landing.
Zhulyany airport spokeswoman Galina Bogdanenko told hromadske that due to the icy conditions on the runway, the planes are unable to take off or land.
«A flight returned to Vilnius. He flew, but he came back, he didn’t fly to Ukraine. And the second flight to Dortmund from Kiev was canceled. But now we have so few flights, the airport is still empty. That is, there were no more flights, ”he said.
On December 10, in various regions of Ukraine, the weather worsened, ice on the roads due to rain and frost.
Recall that in the Kiev and Zhytomyr regions, the movement of trucks and buses was limited.
Sleet, rain and freezing rain with strong winds are expected in various regions of Ukraine on Friday, December 11. Ice is expected in Kiev at night.
