“I told the guys that if we pass, they will write history.”

On Wednesday, September 16, the matches of the 3rd qualifying phase will be played Champions League. Hungarian “Ferencvaros” beat Croatian “Dynamo” from Zagreb (2: 1) at home.

Ukrainian coach Sergei Rebrov is celebrating the victory and is now one step away from reaching the group stage of the Champions League. The next opponent in the fourth quarter will be Molde (Norway).

After the game, Rebrov did not hide his emotions and rejoiced at the victory:

– I saw a similar game with Celtic from my players. We beat the top three teams this year. I told the guys that if they succeed, they will write history, but there is one more step. The key is hard work. Both players and I know it. Man is the forger of his own happiness and we have worked hard for it.

Now is the time to celebrate. We have taken a big step forward, but there is still much to do. I don’t think about the past, only the future is in front of my eyes. I have already been in the Champions League as a coach and a player.

Later in the playoffs there will be two-legged fights. It definitely requires a completely different strategy than what we are used to this season. I’m glad we’re playing our first game away from home, so this gives us a slight advantage as we have a rematch to play at home.
