Former Dnipro-1 coach Dmitry Mikhailenko spoke about his decision to leave the club. As a reminder, the specialist resigned after being defeated by Mariupol (1: 2).

“I thought it was the right decision. Many efforts were made to rectify the situation. And last season some scenarios were lost, and in this season we did not find the necessary options with the composition. So it didn’t work. From the point of view of how to get out of the situation correctly, I realized that the team needs a new coach, a new impulse. So I thought about it calmly and resignedly.

It is not easy to leave the team where he worked for 11 years after the end of his career. Both in the youth sector and in the adult team. You get used to the team, the place, the people around you. But this is the life of a coach.

Rumors of my resignation? This situation does not add trust for sure. But this is not the main problem. The problem is a configuration error. In recent games, I tried to put together a puzzle from different images. It didn’t work there, then there. It was very difficult. The question is more about composition than composition. I have lost confidence that results can be achieved. They seemed to be playing normally and didn’t want to blame it all on bad luck. This is not the reason.

All the staff are going with me, but as far as I know, some guys will stay at the club, ”Mikhailenko said.
