The team is good, the players are good, I think everything will work out. At least I would like that.

– He said they deserve a championship and they should become champions. There is no other way. I said this all season that we have one, the most important goal: to become the champions of Belarus. I think they understand it perfectly. Hope the boys get a good look at it. Honestly, I will follow every game and care no less than they do. I would very much like Shakhtar to repeat the achievement of 2005.
– There are rumors about Roman Grigorchuk …
– According to him, I can say one thing: he is an excellent specialist, a strong coach. We are the same age, we also play soccer together. Then we parted ways: he went to the Baltic countries, I stayed in Ukraine. He played for the Baltic for a long time, then he became a coach and achieved good results with the teams he worked for. I remember the period when he worked in the Azerbaijani “Gabala”. He invited my son and for three years he played under Roman’s direction. I can only express my respect for him as a coach and as a person. The specialist is great. If he comes, it will be a plus.
– What are your plans for the near future?
– Tomorrow I will fly home, I come to rest a little. Although, I will not hide it, yesterday I received many calls. So there is something to think about. But honestly, for at least a week I want to calmly think about everything, analyze: what was right, what was not. And move on. This is our life.
