Ukraine and Turkey have the prospect of building “something more” than a strategic partnership, said Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
Ukraine and Turkey are strategic partners, Kiev seeks to develop these relations, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said in an interview with BBC News Ukraine, published on October 6.
“We have a deep strategic partnership with Turkey, including in the military-technical field. We also buy drones, participate in their production, these are very promising projects, and we plan to actively develop them and launch new projects, because the union Turkey and Ukraine can bring many benefits to both countries and to the region as a whole, “he said.
The two states have the prospect of building “more than just a strategic partnership,” the minister said.
“At least we are interested in this conversation, deepening the interaction between our countries,” Kuleba added.
Turkish President Recep Erdogan last visited Ukraine in 2017 and February 2020. During the February visit, the heads of the two states agreed to provide Turkey with military assistance to Ukraine, cooperation in the construction of houses for Tatars from Crimea in Ukraine and discussed the possibility of importing Caspian gas into Ukraine.
On September 21, the two states agreed to develop the space industry.
