Hungary will not use the Russian vaccine due to capacity issues.
This was reported by Reuters. with reference to the words of the head of the administration of Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
The government has abandoned purchases of the Russian coronavirus vaccine and intends to buy the vaccine through EU supply mechanisms or directly from China, as Russia does not have sufficient vaccine production capacity.
Hungary participated in Russian trials and was one of the first to receive small batches of the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine, raising concern among European colleagues that it would bypass the EU approval mechanism.
Earlier, Strana wrote that Hungary received 6,000 doses of the Russian vaccine against Covid-19.
We also inform that Hungary has developed an electronic covid passport, in which vaccination data will be entered.
