Hungary may become the first EU country to organize the production of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V.

The first samples of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine have been sent to Hungary for clinical trials. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto announced this on his Facebook page on Thursday, November 19.

“A sample of the Russian-made vaccine has been delivered to Budapest. Now, the Hungarian experts are next, we can start the investigation to make the most informed decision on its use,” the minister wrote, adding that Hungary is the first European country to receive the Russian vaccine.

He later added that the government is doing everything possible to provide the Hungarian people with the highest quality, safest and most effective vaccine from as many sources as possible.

At the same time, on November 13, Siyjarto said that one of the Hungarian pharmaceutical companies received from Russia the necessary documentation to organize the production of the Sputnik V vaccine.

Therefore, Hungary may become the first EU country in which the production of the Russian vaccine will be organized.

As you know, on August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia became the first country in the world to register a coronavirus vaccine. Later it was called Sputnik V.

It was also learned that in Russia, doctors began to be infected with coronavirus, after being vaccinated with Sputnik V.
