Hungary appealed to the OSCE on Transcarpathia

The Hungarian Foreign Ministry intends to initiate consultations to further block Ukraine’s membership in NATO.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyjarto had a telephone conversation with the head of the OSCE mission, Gent Čakay. Siyjarto asked to send a special mission of the organization to Transcarpathia, due to the searches for representatives of the Hungarian national minorities. The official announced this on Facebook.

He stressed that OSCE observers will be briefed on the incident and will contact the representatives of the Hungarians from Transcarpathia.

It was previously reported that the deputies of the Syurt Rural United Territorial Community, after taking the oath, sang the Hungarian anthem. The corresponding video was posted online.
