Hundreds of Finnish residents contract COVID-19 after vaccination

Some 200 Finnish residents have contracted the coronavirus despite having already received the first dose of the vaccine. This was reported on Friday, March 5, by the IltaSanomat newspaper.

According to the chief physician of the National Institute of Health and Social Development (THL) Hannah Nohünek, this figure may be higher, since not everyone passes the coronavirus test.

According to Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from federal and local authorities, as well as the media and other open sources, since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in Finland, 60,904 people have been infected with it, 46,000 have recovered. 767 have died.

Recall that scientists have discovered in Finland a new mutation of the coronavirus, which has the properties of both British and South African strains.

Note that, as the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health Maxim Stepanov said, 1.2% of Ukrainians are allergic to the COVID vaccine.

Meanwhile, the European Union began preparing vaccination passports. A COVID passport will be required when traveling.
