In the militant-occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease are neglected. The occupiers hold forums and seminars where the mask regime is not observed, said the representative of the Ombudsman of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, Pavel Lisyansky.

The invaders hide the real number of COVID-19 cases in the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions not controlled by Ukraine. The situation with the spread of the disease in the region is critical, the representative of the Ombudsman in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, Pavel Lisyansky, said on Facebook on October 10.

In ORDLO’s territory, no restrictive measures are observed, including a mask regime, social distance, and others. There is not enough personal protective equipment in pharmacies, Lisyansky said.

The occupants are holding massive events. The representative of the Ombudsman cited as an example the “More” forum, which was held from 22 to 30 August in the village of Sedovo (Donetsk region) with a total of 260 participants.

A social and political forum “Together with Russia” was held in Rovenki (Luhansk region) on June 30. More than 100 people attended. And on June 14, the youth forum “El deporte unites” was held in the same city, attended by more than 50 people.

ORDLO residents are diagnosed with three diagnoses: acute respiratory viral infection, pneumonia, and COVID-19.

“People with the first two diagnoses are sent home, the occupants are silent about the actual number of patients,” Lisyansky emphasized.

The “LPR Ministry of Health” registered 1,178 cases of coronavirus infection as of October 10. Recovered from COVID-19 in the “ministry” counted 854 people. At the same time, the “RPD Health Ministry” reported on October 10 on a total of 4470 COVID-19 patients, 2235 recovered and 281 deaths.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs estimated that more than 700 patients are hospitalized daily with COVID-19 at ORDLO.

The commander of the Joint Forces operation, Vladimir Kravchenko, said that the “authorities” in the occupied Ukrainian territories of Donbass are withholding information about the actual number of COVID-19 patients.

In Ukraine on the morning of October 10 registered a total of 256,266 cases of coronavirus infection, of which 5,728 were in the last 24 hours. 4,887 patients died and 112,570 recovered.
