Hospital beds for COVID-19 continue to decline in Ukraine

In Ukraine, the workload of hospital beds for coronavirus patients continues to decline. As of November 15, 52.6% of these beds are occupied in the country, which is 2% less than the previous day.

This is demonstrated by the data released by the Ministry of Health.

The best situation with beds is observed in Kherson (23.9%), Ternopil (28%), Lugansk (42.2%), Odessa (44.4%), Kirovograd (45%), Dnepropetrovsk (47.3%) ) and Volyn Regions (48.7%). In Kiev, 50.4% of the beds are occupied. The worst situation is in the Cherkasy region: 72% of the beds are occupied here.

In total, 52,258 hospital beds for COVID-19 have already been introduced in Ukraine.

At the same time, the incidence rate of COVID-19 continues to grow in the country. As of November 15 in Ukraine, this figure is 368.7, while the norm is 40. The worst situation is observed in the Chernivtsi region – 650.2. In Kiev, the figure is 417.6.

Recall that in Ukraine during the last day 10,681 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed. Most of the infections are found in the Kiev, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Odessa and Kiev regions.

Bear in mind that Ukraine was initially put into the second stage of the response to COVID-19. Thus, the number of hospital beds to receive coronavirus patients will be increased to 80,000 in the country. Previously, it was planned to introduce no more than 52 thousand beds.
