On Sunday December 13, in Hochfilzen, Austria, the men’s relay race took place as part of the third stage of the World Cup.

The main contenders for victory were the Norwegians, who won the first relay of the season at Kontiolahti. But in the last shot Johannes Boe could not hold his nerves and won a penalty circle, while Swede Sebastian Samuelsson was more accurate and went to the goal circle as leader. As a result, the Swede retained the lead and won gold medals for his team.

The third place was played between Germany and Russia. But if the Germans avoided the extra meters of distance, then Russian Alexander Loginov became an antihero for his team and finished fourth, half a minute behind Philip Horn.

Ukraine was represented by Artem Prima, Ruslan Tkalenko, Dmitry Pidruchny and Anton Dudchenko. For four, our biathletes used only six replacement cartridges, but lost quite a bit with their feet and took a modest 13th place. A week ago, we recall, the Ukrainians closed the top 10.

Race results:

1. Sweden Sweden (0 + 8) 1: 16: 31.5
2. Norway (1 + 11) +5.7
3. Germany Germany (0 + 7) +44.1
