In Ukraine, a headquarters to combat COVID-19 can be created, headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. The corresponding draft resolution no. 4228 was presented to the Verkhovna Rada.

This is demonstrated by the data on the Parliament website.

During the conciliation council on Monday, October 19, MPs agreed to consider the document on Tuesday. Previously, the draft resolution was signed by many faction leaders.

The document foresees:

  • the creation of a presidential headquarters to fight the virus;
  • massive coronavirus testing;
  • increase laboratory capacity;
  • conversion of hospitals into a department for the treatment of coronavirus.

It is also planned to put into operation a fully Ukrainian unified multi-channel hotline for Ukrainians with symptoms or suffering from coronavirus disease for free testing and emergency care.

In addition, it is proposed to create, according to regional distribution, the necessary amount of mobile equipment for the collection of biological material from patients in the place of residence and its transport to the laboratory.

We will remember, the Rada on Tuesday October 20 will hear from the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov, about the readiness to combat the coronavirus in Ukraine.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, as of October 19, there was not a single region left in Ukraine that is ready to ease the quarantine. The Kirovograd region was also included in the “red” list.

So in Ukraine, 4,766 people get sick per day. In total, more than 300,000 people have been infected since the start of the pandemic.
