Today, the introduction of a stricter quarantine in Ukraine is being discussed, but there is no date yet. The government will focus on the effect of the weekend’s quarantine.
This was announced on Facebook by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmygal.
According to him, after a weekend quarantine in December, they will be able to evaluate their result.
“We see that this result is reaching a plateau in terms of the number of cases,” Shmygal said.
He also confirmed the preparation of a plan to introduce a stricter quarantine.
“But this is plan B, if the weekend quarantine does not work. We have started a public discussion of this plan B so that the whole country understands it. We want our steps to be clear and predictable for people and companies.” Shmygal emphasized.
In this sense, this week meetings were held with mayors, companies and churches. And among local authorities they carry out a survey on the optimization of anti-epidemic regulations.
“There are daily consultations with epidemiologists and infectious disease specialists. The situation in each region is being analyzed. We are doing all of this now to develop a joint plan, balanced and supported by all. I want to emphasize again: now there is no date for the introduction of a stricter quarantine, “he added. Shmygal.
We will recall, earlier, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said that a stricter quarantine will be required when the daily increase in new COVID-19 cases exceeds 30,000.
Please note that on Saturdays and Sundays in Ukraine there is a weekend quarantine. RBC-Ukraine wrote that it falls under the ban.
