Weekend quarantine: smoothly preparing for a total shutdown, – Martsinkiv

The mayor, having attended a meeting with the prime minister, said the government is considering a full quarantine for several weeks from December 10-15 or December 20-25. It will be a disaster for entrepreneurs.

The Ukrainian government plans to introduce a total blockade for several weeks. The current weekend quarantine is a definite preparation for the strict restrictions. Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv spoke about this after a meeting with Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal in his video message on Facebook.

“The government’s position has not changed: there will be a quarantine over the weekend … This is a fluid preparation for a complete shutdown in our country,” Martsinkiv said.

So, according to him, under the pessimistic scenario, the blockade will be introduced from December 10 to 15, with the optimistic scenario, from December 20 to 25. The strict quarantine will last for several weeks.

“It will be a disaster if this lockdown is introduced. Especially for small and medium-sized businesses on the eve of St. Nicholas and the Christmas holidays,” said the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry began to talk about the introduction of a total blockade.

We also report that the Ministry of Health mentioned the amount needed to treat a patient with COVID.
