IBF World Champion, IBO Middleweight Champion Gennady Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) after successfully defending titles against Kamila sheremety (21-1, 5 KOs) commented on his success, as well as the opponent’s corner’s refusal to continue the fight after the seventh round.
“I felt very comfortable, I was calm. I prepared myself well and told them I was back. Kamil Sheremeta is an excellent boxer. And respect for his corner (for stopping the fight). Guys, well, I was “done.” I felt my jab, my power, my timing. I just needed more time, it would be early in the second round (to finish). I wanted more people to watch on television.
