Russian footballer “Monaco” Alexander Golovin has effectively returned to the game after a 4-month break due to a hamstring injury.
In the away game of the 18th day of the French Ligue 1 championship against Lorient, the 24-year-old midfielder of the Russian team entered the field in minute 64, and 10 seconds later he scored a goal, making the score 2 : 1.
This marked the beginning of the owners’ defeat. The meeting ended with a score of 5: 2. After this victory, the Monegasques scored 30 points and came out on the fifth row of the standings.
“Monaco” reacted to the success of its midfielder by publishing a congratulatory message on Twitter.
“The king is back,” the tweet reads.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Golovin’s transfer from CSKA Moscow to Monaco was among the 10 worst transfers of the French championship.
Note that Golovin, who became one of the heroes of the opening match of the 2018 World Cup, got into a scandal at the world championship. The footballer of the Russian team starred in a live management on Canal Uno.
