The Swedish Academy has announced the name of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Literature. The winners will be invited to the awards ceremony and banquet next year due to the coronavirus situation.

Gluck received the award “for his unmistakable poetic voice which, with stark beauty, universalizes individual existence.”
According to Alfred Nobel’s will, the prize in this area should go to the author of “the best idealist-oriented literary work.”
The 2018 Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to the Polish writer and poet Olga Tokarchuk, the Austrian playwright Peter Handke received the 2019 prize.
Note that tomorrow in Oslo the winner of the Peace Prize will be named.
