Coronavirus deaths rise in Germany

For the first time in Germany, more than a thousand people died from complications of the coronavirus in one day. The country has a strict quarantine.

During the last day in Germany, 1,129 deaths from complications of the coronavirus were recorded. On Wednesday, December 30, DW reports with reference to the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases.

It is observed that for the first time in the country there have been more than a thousand deaths per day from COVID-19.

Most of Germany’s shops, bars, clubs and restaurants are closed. Schools and kindergartens are also closed. The strict quarantine will be in force in the country until January 10.

Germany, like many other EU countries, started vaccinating on December 27, first in line being the elderly and medical workers.

Central and regional authorities are expected to debate new actions on January 5.

It was previously reported that in Germany, eight people accidentally received a five times higher dose of the COVID vaccine.
