What will change in schools as of September 1?
On September 1, an introductory lesson will be dedicated in all schools to the vitals: debunking myths about the coronavirus, new rules of quarantine behavior and hygiene rules.
The new academic year will begin with the examination of the material learned during the quarantine. This is called “remedial learning”, which will last for several months and will allow teachers to determine how much children have learned from distance learning materials during quarantine.
The parents of the schoolchildren complained about the decline in academic performance and even wrote a petition asking President Zelensky to ban distance education. It received the number of votes necessary for its consideration.
In the “red zone” regions, educational institutions will be forced into 14-day quarantine, the educational process will be carried out remotely. In some regions, for example, in Ivano-Frankivsk, they have already announced that they will extend the summer holidays until September 21 due to an unfavorable epidemiological situation.
