Ajax Amsterdam forward Quincy promes, a former Spartak Moscow player, was arrested on suspicion of serious stab wounds.
The incident occurred in late July 2020 during a family dinner in the city of Abkouda. There was a conflict between the members of the Promes family and Quincy stabbed one of the opponents. The victim also suffered a serious knee injury.
In the Netherlands, such an offense carries a prison sentence of up to four years. The footballer will spend up to three days in preliminary detention, after which the court will decide to extend the term.
