Former President of Poland Lech Walesa
Before the coronavirus pandemic, Walesa worked as a lecturer at various universities around the world.
Former Polish President Lech Walesa complained that he has recently started experiencing financial problems. He stated this in an interview with Polsat News.
“I am bankrupt, so this year no one will receive a gift from Walesa. At one point I was still active and earning something, but now this is no longer possible. There is no money except a pension. There was a time when I had a lot of money , but above all I gave them for general purposes, for charity. Now my pocket is almost empty, “said the politician.
Walesa is entitled to a monthly presidential pension for life of 10.5 thousand zlotys (80.5 thousand hryvnia at the exchange rate).
Walesa led Poland from 1990 to 1995.
Recall that in the United States, both houses of the United States Congress approved a bill that provides a package of measures to allocate 2.3 trillion dollars to support the economy in the face of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier, the global consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic were named. Analysts at the Credit Suisse research institute believe it will lead to a slowdown in globalization and urbanization, an increase in the pace of digitization of the economy and an increase in government power.
