Former Dynamo player Ognen Vukojevic was arrested in his homeland of Croatia for threatening to kill his wife, reports Croatian sportske.jutarnji.hr.
Vukoevich came home drunk and began threatening his wife, whom he had married since 2016, as well as his sister and mother, to kill them, according to the publication.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police raided the 36-year-old former footballer to find out if he had weapons.
Vukoevich, who is currently the head coach of Croatia’s youth team (U-20), was arrested. A criminal case was initiated against him.
Later, the prosecutor’s office released Ognen. However, he was prohibited from visiting his own home in Tushkanats and approaching his wife at a distance of less than 200 meters.
Vukoevich himself in a comment at sportske.jutarnji.hr. He said he hopes to resolve this situation with his family soon.
“I can confirm that due to disagreement with my wife I had an interview with the state attorney. I was released with the obligation that until these disagreements are fully resolved, we should not live in the same house.”
I think we will soon resolve this situation in our family circle, and until then I ask you to understand the need to keep our family affairs within our four walls, “the publication quoted Vukoevich as saying.
Recall, Ognen defended Dynamo’s colors from 2008 to 2015, after having spent 141 games for the “white and blue”, scoring 10 goals.
