Former deputy of people suspected of millionaire fraud with housing

During the work of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation, the town deputy received compensation for housing, having an apartment in the capital.

The former People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation was informed of the suspicion of receiving illegal compensation for housing in the amount of 928 thousand hryvnias, said the press service of the Office of the Special Prosecutor against Corruption.

The former town deputy received suspicions on Thursday, May 14, according to prosecutors from SAP and the National Anti-Corruption Office.

It should be noted that the former MP had his own home in Kiev, but received payments from the state for using a hotel room in the national complex.

For the period from November 2014 to August 2019, the former people’s deputy illegally received more than 928 thousand hryvnias of compensation.

The suspect is accused of an article on abuse of power or official position (part 2 of article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
