The US representative in Ukraine expressed her willingness to cooperate with Kiev in the creation of the Crimean platform.

The United States is willing to participate in the creation of the Crimean Platform initiated by Ukraine. This was stated by the United States Chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine, Christina Kvin, during a meeting with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Emine Dzhaparova, on Monday, October 26, reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine .

In turn, Dzhaparova expressed her gratitude to the United States for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and an uncompromising stance against Russia’s aggression in Donbas and the illegal occupation of Crimea. In that regard, he informed the interlocutor in detail about the vision of the Ukrainian side of the main elements and the substantive content of the Crimean platform, the main objective of which should be to consolidate the policy of non-recognition of the occupation of Crimea by the international community.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that other countries are ready to join the Crimean Platform format. Among them, he named the EU, the UK, Canada and Turkey.

In turn, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the Crimean platform is designed to structure international efforts to vacate the peninsula, as well as to keep this issue among the priorities of international politics.
