Humanity was not prepared for the coronavirus pandemic, and therefore all visa-free travel is blocked, Kuleba emphasized.

Ukrainians cannot move freely around the world, not because of political or legal problems, but because of the coronavirus pandemic. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, in an interview with TSN.ua, published on Wednesday, December 30.

“We constantly work with the EU, we seek a solution so that Ukrainians suffer less from the problems of the pandemic of traveling without a visa. But the situation in our country does not allow us to reach an acceptable level. However, there are no political or legal problems with visa-free travel. The only problem we are facing now is suffering, this is the COVID-19 pandemic, “said the Foreign Minister.

At the same time, according to him, the pandemic has thrown even the most developed countries into a state of panic.

“When you hear all this talk about passports, vaccinations, 35 certificates at entry and 15 at exit, all this shows that humanity was not prepared for a pandemic everywhere. Now all this dust will settle, civilized decisions will be made, travel rules, to which we will get used to and we will go through them ”, summarized Kuleba.

Earlier, the minister listed the main failures and achievements of Ukrainian diplomacy in the outgoing year. According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, the negotiations with Iran to investigate the downing of the UIA plane near Tehran turned out to be the most disastrous.
