Strategy Analytics calculated the balance of power in the global tablet market after the results of the first quarter of this year: the industry showed another decrease: a decrease in global supplies was set at 12%.

If approximately 36.6 million tablets were sold in the first quarter of last year, now there are 32.2 million, it is observed that the new coronavirus and the general economic recession had an impact on the industry.

According to the results of the last quarter, Apple became the largest provider of tablets with a participation of almost 30% – 29.8%. It should be noted that the “apple” empire showed such a high result for the first time since 2013.

In second place in the ranking of the main manufacturers is Samsung with 14.6% of the market. Huawei closes the first three – 9.4%. Then come Amazon and Lenovo with a score of 8.6% and 4.9%, respectively.

Android tablets represented a total of 57.1% of the market. Another 29.8% took iOS devices, about 12.6%, models running Windows. Tablets with Chrome OS showed a result of just 0.5%.
