It would be 10, then we would have to give 10. It is important here that all teams have the same attitude, a focus. Yes, we know that punishment plus probation is practiced. This is not only in our country, but also in Europe. But again, it is important that all teams have the same attitude and no one has complaints.
The punishment should be commensurate with the violation, so that other players have no thoughts of repeating such violation, so that there is not even temptation.
– What could be an extenuating circumstance for Sidorchuk? Excuse Kornienko?
– I think so. Not all footballers will come to this, not all will find the strength to apologize. Such a situation can happen to any player. Someone’s nerves couldn’t stand it, someone had problems at home, and all this later affects the game, because the players are also people, they are not robots. Soccer players are real people. There is psychology: a person never wants to lose. Because of this and the nerves, anything can happen. But I have a hard time understanding how to disappoint the team in that way. Although I was an impulsive soccer player, I never retired. I could have gotten a yellow card, but to disappoint the team so seriously … I don’t get it.
– Due to this entry, Kornienko will miss the entire end of the year, including his debut in the Ukrainian national team. What do you think, what are his chances of playing for the national team after the injury?
– Today there is such a situation due to the coronavirus that players have more possibilities than before. Coaches use a wider range of players. So I hope Kornienko is well, he recovers, he will be given a chance and we will see him in the national team jersey.
