FOP rally: police switched to an improved regime

In Kiev, under the walls of the Verkhovna Rada, a protest action by businessmen is taking place

The capital’s law enforcement officers switched to a higher mode of work due to the protest action of businessmen near the Rada.

The businessmen once again carry out a protest action outside the walls of Verkhovna Rada. The metropolitan police switched to an intensive work schedule. This was reported by the press service of the National Police on Tuesday, December 1.

Employees of the metropolitan police, military personnel of the National Guard, dialogue police, explosives technicians, and representatives of other structural divisions of the Interior Ministry system were transferred to an improved service regime.

“The police are carrying out preventive explanatory work with the participants of the events in order to prevent violations of the law and ensure the peaceful development of the events,” said the police.

The police also noted that in connection with the protest, it is possible to restrict traffic to certain central streets of Kiev, including Hrushevsky Street.

It was previously reported that the businessmen are preparing an indefinite protest. The businessmen oppose a series of bills, as well as a weekend quarantine. Up to 20 thousand participants are expected.

Note that the bill on the PPO was submitted to the Rada by President Volodymyr Zelensky. The president proposes to postpone the introduction of cash registers for entrepreneurs until 2022.
