At the same time, Kravchuk calls Fokin «an experienced and conscientious person, but understands why his statements caused outrage.

We did not make any accusations or put forward radical proposals. But they said with certainty that Vitold Pavlovich himself should determine his future actions, his stay in the delegation. Vitold Fokin, 87, joined the Ukrainian delegation to the Donbas TCG on August 18. In less than two weeks, he advocated for a general amnesty and special status for the entire Donbass.
