MPs want Fokin to separate his personal position from that of Ukraine’s representative in the TCG

The Parliamentary Commission on the Organization of State Power plans to convene the deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Vitold Fokin to explain his position on Donbass. Aleksandr Kachura, a deputy from the Servants of the People faction and deputy head of the aforementioned committee, said this in a comment to Radio Liberty.
“We plan to invite Fokin to the committee to explain his position and share the personal position of a Donbass Fokin native and the position of a TCG member as it is,” he said.
Alexander Kachura also noted that he had already prepared a corresponding attached appeal and hopes that such a meeting with Fokin can take place this week at an extraordinary committee meeting.
He said that representatives of the Parliamentary Commission on National Security and Defense, as well as representatives of the Commission on Human Rights, Unemployment and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine will be invited to the meeting.
We will recall that Vitold Fokin previously proposed declaring a general amnesty in the occupied Donbass territories and holding elections. In addition, he stressed that he was in favor of granting a special status to the entire territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
At the same time, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak pointed out that the statements of the representative of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Vitold Fokin on Donbass do not reflect the official position of Ukraine.
