Vitold Fokin denied claims that Strana allegedly removed his words from an interview
Recently, several members of the Ukrainian delegation of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) said that Strana allegedly in an interview with the First Deputy Head of the TCG delegation, Vitold Fokin, removed some of his words about amnesty from the agreed text, distorting the meaning of what was said.
The editorial team of “Strana” has repeatedly declared the falsehood of these accusations.
Today we received a comment from Vitold Fokin, in which he denied that Strana had cut his words and said that he had no complaints about the text of the interview.
“I would like to thank the journalists for their professional work. I have no complaints about the publication,” said Fokin.
He also clarified that when he spoke about the distortion of his statements, he was referring to the interpretation by other media and commentators of his words expressed in an interview with Strana. “My words were perverted by representatives of the media belonging to the war party,” Fokin al-Strana said.
Recall that in an interview, Fokin said that a special status should be granted to the entire Donbass. He also called for a complete amnesty and did not rule out direct negotiations with the leaders of the “DPR” and “LPR”.
After that, a wave of criticism fell on him for such words. To which it stated that in the part referring to ORDLO, it cited the provisions of the Minsk agreements.
We also wrote that due to the position on the resolution of the conflict in Donbass, expressed in an interview with “Strana” by Vitold Fokin, he was added to the base of “Peacemaker”.
