The court seized 65 aircraft that violated the procedure for entering and leaving occupied Crimea. Since March 2014, Ukraine has closed the airspace over the peninsula because it cannot guarantee the safety of flights.
This was reported on Facebook by the press secretary of the Crimean Prosecutor’s Office, Ekaterina Didenko.
Criminal proceedings are investigated under Part 2 of Art. 332-1, art. 334 and part 1 of art. 111 (violation by foreign airline officials of the international flight rules and violation of the procedure for entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory) of the Penal Code.
“The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, together with the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, went to court with petitions to arrest the planes of some Russian airlines that violated the procedure for entering / leaving the occupied peninsula and international flight rules. Now 65 violating planes have been arrested. ” – she wrote.
As he said, some 40 Russian airlines have been established that carry out regular air transport of passengers to Crimea, violating international flight rules and the laws of Ukraine.
As a reminder, the government of Ukraine announced its intention to create a platform for the evacuation of Crimea with the participation of the United States and Great Britain.
In addition, the Foreign Ministry named another possible site for the Crimean evacuation.
