The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports on this.

The Ministry noted that starting at 7 p.m. On April 18, SESS forces help forest workers extinguish separate areas of steaming soils and stumps of grass; open combustion cells are not observed, namely:

  • – in the territory of the log forest near the town. Mineral and town. The projected area of ​​the fire is approximately 2,000 hectares. Forest workers create mineralized strips.

“655 people and 108 vehicles participated in the extinction, including 125 vehicles and 31 SES vehicles, including three AN-32P aircraft, which carried 6 discharges (48 tons of water),” – said in the Interior Ministry.

It was previously reported that as a result of large-scale fires in the Zhitomir region already more than 80 houses burned. The greatest damage was done to the villages of Nizhny Rudnya, Ostrov, Magdina and Lichmani in the Ovruch district. The fire continues.
