A massive fire broke out on the west coast of the United States. The smoke reached northern Europe.

This was reported by experts from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service, AR reports.

The smoke traveled more than 8 thousand kilometers and moved from the west coast of the United States to the United Kingdom and other regions of northern Europe. More than 30 million tons of carbon have been released into the atmosphere.

“The scale and severity of these fires is far greater than any fire in the past 18 years that we have monitored,” said Mark Parrington, researcher and wildfire expert with the Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service.

He noted that the density of smoke in the air was so high that it exceeded the norm by more than seven times.

Remember that the fires in California have become the largest in the history of the state.

Photos and videos of the large-scale fire site in the United States of America were also posted.
