In the Lugansk region, the GSChS aviation dumped more than 500 tons of water on Saturday in the seven main water cells. This was reported by the department’s press service on October 3.

“During the day, the State Emergency Service aircraft made 162 discharges (504 tons of water). During the liquidation of forest fires in the Lugansk region, the bodies of 11 people were found, in addition, 18 people were injured (among three employees of the State Emergency Service). The cause of death of four people is being established. ” – says the message.

According to preliminary estimates by the State Emergency Service, the approximate area covered by fire in seven main cells is more than 20 thousand hectares.

“The most difficult situation has developed along the demarcation line in the territory of the Stanichno-Lugansk, Novoaydarsk, Severodonetsk districts, where 32 settlements fell in the affected area,” rescuers said.

In total, 1,539 people and 306 crews were involved in fighting the fires, including three AN-32 P aircraft and three helicopters.

According to the forecast of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center on the territory of the Lugansk region, from October 3 to 5 there will be cloudy weather without precipitation, southeast wind up to 15 m / s, air temperature up to 23 degrees Celsius.

Recall, the Interior Ministry confirmed the facts of the arson of grass by the separatists of the “LPR” in the Lugansk region, which were previously recorded in a video posted on the social network.

Also on October 3, it became known that one of the fires had been eliminated in the Lugansk region. In the morning, the forest floor was extinguished near the town of Chmyrovka, Starobelsky district. The extinction of six fires continues.
