Burnt turf soil in the Lugansk region
An employee of the State Emergency Service was injured by the explosion of an unknown device while extinguishing a fire on the grass floor.
Near Stanytsia Luhanska, in the Lugansk region, a forest fire broke out on the contact line. This was announced on Tuesday, September 1, by the president of the Stanichno-Lugansk regional state administration, Yuri Zolkin, on Facebook.
“Stanitsa Luganskaya. A forest fire again. The ignition point is practically at ‘zero’. There are already more than ten different explosions,” he wrote.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that a lifeguard was injured as a result of one of the explosions.
“On September 1, during the extinguishing of a fire in a grassy flat near the village of Stanytsia Luganskaya, an unidentified explosive device detonated, as a result of which the senior civil protection officer, the commander of the state’s 24th fire and rescue unit department, “the statement said.
Zolkin clarified that the fire continues. Teams from the State Emergency Service, the forest fire brigade and the Stanichno-Lugasnsky village council team are working on site.
A forest fire was also reported today near Severodonetsk in the Lugansk region.
Earlier, in the Odessa region, there was a fire under the power lines. Firefighters were unable to begin to put out the burning grass due to the threat of broken cables and the inability to disconnect the network.
