Ukraine has already started fining people for the lack of a mask in public places and transportation. The first administrative protocols were drawn up over the weekend.

This is stated in the message from the Kiev police.

It is reported that from November 21 to 22, during raids on public places and transportation, 17 administrative complaints were made for lack of personal protective equipment. For such a violation, a fine of 170-255 hryvnia is provided.

Police emphasize that they are mainly focused on preventive work.

“If citizens do not respond to comments and refuse to use personal protective equipment, law enforcement officers, within the limits of their competence, will bring those offenders to justice,” the message says.

According to the Interior Ministry, over the weekend, 1,395 decisions were issued to stay in public buildings, structures and public transport during the quarantine period without wearing personal protective equipment.
