They want to collect billions of hryvnias from PrivatBank

The Cabinet of Ministers is trying to block a judicial decision, a decision made in favor of the companies associated with Surkis, according to which the state bank will charge ten billion hryvnias.

Ukraine’s Minister of Justice appealed to the Verkhovna Rada with a request for the immediate adoption of a law prohibiting the collection of money in the PrivatBank case. The minister wrote about this on the night of Friday, September 4, on his Facebook page.

We are talking about deposits from offshore companies associated with the Surkis family, in the amount of about 10 billion hryvnia.

Malyuska said he had prepared a bill that prohibits the collection of bank funds by court order.

“Dear People’s Deputies, please sign, register and support the bill as soon as possible. We do not count by days, but by hours ”, he emphasized.

“It is not just about the PrivatBank money (although it is also important).

Privatbank pays dividends annually, and its size exceeds 10 billion. So taking 10 billion from Privat means taking it away from budget-funded doctors, teachers and retirees, “Malyuska wrote.

He added that to save time, he is presenting the bill not as a government, but as a parliamentarian.

Will we pay everything for Privat? A new twist in the banking business

Recall that on September 2, the Kiev Pechersk District Court fully satisfied the statement of the companies of the Surkis brothers on the procedure to implement the 2017 judicial decision on the obligation of PrivatBank to service their deposits deposited before nationalization from the bank in your accounts at the Cyprus branch.
