Max Teixeira went back to Olimpik, who was not even in the application against the Dynamo. Neither were Kargbo and Benito: the first with Dnipro-1 came out at the beginning, the second started the game from the bench. The left-back position is situational due to the disqualification of Orest Lebedenko, Igor Snurnitsyn was forced to close.
Igor Jovichevich, as we expected in the announcement of this match, decided not to change anything in the winning line-up and once again trusted the same eleven players from the first minutes as against Ingulets. And they did not disappoint, from the first minutes they put pressure on the “Olympian” to his goal. Loginov was able to open an account, which responded to a cross from a corner already in the opening. The ball went slightly higher than the goal after hitting the Dnipro defender with the head. Then his teammate in center Douglas landed a similar blow as he served down the left wing: the ball was caught by the crossbar. In both moments, the Dnipro-1 players found themselves alone in the opponent’s goalkeeper area. Finally, Dovbik was about to break the crossbar of a free kick and, being in the corner of the goalkeeper’s corner, he missed the goal of his assassin position.
After the opening hit segment, Dnipro-1’s pressure seriously diminished, or rather Olimpik managed to equalize the match due to ball control and timely pressure. And there were no more corners in Chekotun’s goal in the first half, as well as the number of rule violations by Igor Klimovsky’s charges decreased. Politylo pushed roughly at Pikhalenok’s feet in midfield, but in that episode the yellow card was the maximum needed, which the referee “rewarded” to the Donetsk team captain.
During the break, the mentors made no substitutions, but where the hosts were lean, it still broke. Another standard, Pikhalenok’s harmless serve and Douglas’s discount, but Dramme, for whatever reason, decided to help Chekotun and cut the ball into his own net. Naturally, “Olimpik” had to attack to expose the central bridgehead. This was used with greater intensity by Pikhalyonok himself, who in the middle of the second half became a key figure of Dnipro-1 in terms of creativity.
In the end, the guests acted according to the score and at the same time practically neutralized the danger in their goal from the opposite side. Even the dangerous approaches to Yurchuk’s goal were not in “Olympic”, much less in the final mass. Well, Dnipro scored again: Kogut found a pass to Bulets, Sergei turned around and fired exactly towards the far corner. Spectacular point in the match!
The second straight win “dry” allowed Dnipro-1 to take 10th place, having come up from last. “Olympic”, after two consecutive defeats, is already eighth with a difference of five points from “Kolos”, which is fifth.
