The man, suspected of a fatal traffic accident in the capital’s Independence Square, was handed over to the Shevchenko court in an ambulance, UNN reports.

It is noted that the suspect was brought to court after 12 noon. The man is on a stretcher, on which he was taken to court.

Today the driver will be chosen as a preventive measure. The prosecutor asks for the arrest.

As reported, yesterday in the Plaza de la Independencia there was a major traffic accident, as a result of which two people died, four were injured. A video was also released, showing how an uncontrollable car went through the protective hemispheres onto the sidewalk and then rammed into another car. Then the truck crossed the pedestrian zone, climbed, crashed into a crowd of pedestrians and then rammed four cars. The 66-year-old driver said he lost consciousness while driving. The test drager found no alcohol on his body.
