Popular blogger Dmytro Stuzhuk in Ukraine died of coronavirus on Friday, October 16. The tragic news on his Instagram was announced by his wife Sofia Stuzhuk.
“Dima is no longer with us. Her heart could not bear it,” he wrote.
The man is known to have contracted COVID-19 in Turkey. He received treatment at home. Due to the low oxygen level in his blood, they gave him an oxygen machine.
As Dmitry’s wife said, he became very ill at night, on October 15, and was taken to the hospital. The blogger ended up in intensive care and was knocked unconscious.
Dmiry slipped into a coma, experienced clinical death, and then died.
“The coronavirus is not a dangerous disease for those who are healthy, but Dima has a complication in her heart, she has problems with the cardiovascular system,” Sofia said previously in an Instagram story.
Dmitry published his last post on the social network on the eve of his death. In the photo, he is captured with an oxygen mask on his face. He smiles and gestures with his fingers to indicate victory.
Stuzhuk noted that it is the eighth day of his illness.
“I felt bad the second day in Turkey. I woke up in the middle of the night because my neck was swollen and I was having trouble breathing. At the same time, my stomach hurt a little. The next day a cough began to appear, but there was no temperature. There were also no particular symptoms of the disease. I was not there, so I thought it could be the consequences after doing sports, changing the climate and nutrition, and also sleeping under the air conditioning “, – Dmitry told about the beginning of his illness.
He added that after returning to Ukraine, he went to get tested for COVID, which turned out to be positive.

The blogger was prescribed a treatment and the doctors, according to him, insisted on hospitalization.

“There are renovations, the hospital is completely full of people, some of them live in the corridor. There is no food, paper, nor cutlery either!” Dmitry said, adding that he decided to be treated at home.
“My condition is stable,” Stuzhuk wrote.
He also noted that he feels the peak is behind him and expressed confidence that he will soon recover.
Dmitry and Sophia raised three children.
Before that, it was learned that a third child died from the coronavirus in Ukraine.
