The Cabinet of Ministers extended the emergency situation in Ukraine until December 31, 2020. The regime was established in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday, October 28.

As noted in the explanatory note of the draft order, due to the significant deterioration of the epidemic situation associated with the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine, by decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of October 13, 2020, the quarantine period It was extended until December 31, 2020.

“Regarding the extension of the quarantine period, there is a need to continue the emergency regime for the unified state civil protection system throughout Ukraine until December 31, 2020,” the document says.

Remember that there are almost 7.5 thousand new cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine. During the day 165 people died. The greatest increase in incidence is observed in the Kharkov and Odessa regions, as well as in Kiev.

At the same time, two-thirds of COVID beds are occupied in Ukraine. The highest workload is observed in the Zhytomyr, Poltava and Lugansk regions, while there is not a single region where less than half of the positions would be occupied.
