Another Ukrainian expert on the Petro Poroshenko channel asked to start a war with Russia. He suggested blowing up the Kerch Bridge and attacking Crimea from the sea.
The expert was a native of the Vatican and Catholic activist Zinovy Sveda. His statements have already provoked a reaction in Moscow.
It solved what is known about the new adept of the “war party” and what else he is famous for.
Pearl Harbor near Kerch and space forces
Strong statements by the Kiev economist, president of the Cooperative Alliance of Ukraine Zinovy Sveda, spoke on the air of the television channel “Pryamoy”.
He believes that Ukraine should develop a plan for the military liberation of Donbass and Crimea, as well as organize a “new Pearl Harbor” for the Russian fleet.
“Like it or not, Ukraine must have its own attack strategy. We must move away from the defense system and look our partners in the eye. Kiev must have a plan for the military liberation of Donbass and Crimea. Therefore, we must have concrete and clear things, starting with blowing up the Kerch Bridge and organizing a new Pearl Harbor for the Russian fleet.
Because the true defense of Ukraine is the patriotic conscience, the reluctance of the people to surrender under any conditions, the restoration of its army and even the creation of its own space troops, “said Zinoviy Sveda.
This is not the first proposal of its kind to improve Sveda’s national security. Previously, he already offered to sell land in Ukraine to US companies to protect this territory from Russian invasions.
The expert expressed this opinion when commenting on the bill to create a free land market.
“Where there is a war, there is often a desire to invest in the purchase of land, because then the land is cheaper. I would personally say: let’s sell the maximum border areas of the Sumy and Kharkiv regions to American companies, because the troops Americans come where there is American private property where their interest is, “Sveda said in a comment to the Observer.
According to him, the sale of land would also solve the problem of shale gas in eastern Ukraine (on the eve of 2014, preparatory work was underway to develop shale gas deposits in the Donbass, which were to be extracted by American companies) .
As Sveda pointed out, Ukraine should either build its own “Mannerheim Line” or find partners.
“The Cossacks were always looking for Turks, Tatars or someone else. You have to have partners to win,” he said.
Zinovy Sveda’s statement was discussed in the Council for International Affairs of the Russian Federation of the Republic of Crimea.
The head of the Federation Council, Sergei Tsekov, commenting on the threat of Pearl Harbor, said that any military action against Russia “will end in the collapse of Ukraine.”
He also noted that the political scientist Zinoviy Sveda has no military experience and his proposal is outlandish.
“Unfortunately, all parts of Ukrainian society, different industries are permeated with such inappropriate personalities that, realizing the impasse of the situation in Ukraine, they are trying to somehow shake up the Ukrainian state with such extravagant proposals.” Tsekov said.
Who is Zinovy Sveda?
The author of exotic recipes for a war with Russia is widely known in narrow circles. In particular, among Ukrainian Catholics.
Sveda is a graduate of the Catholic University of Ukraine in Lvov and a PhD from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome in the Faculty of Social Sciences. And even for some time he appeared there as an assistant professor, but now Zinovy is not on the list of university professors.
In addition, Zinovy is a Teacher of the Vatican Centesimus annus Foundation.
This is a fund named after the encyclical Pope John Paul II, which he issued on the eve of the collapse of the USSR. He discussed the fate of socialist Eastern Europe. The Pope condemned communism, the class struggle and said that the region needed a Christian democracy and capitalism “with a human face.”
It is clear that the fund of the same name trained specialists in the Catholic “de-communization” of the former Soviet territories.
Sveda’s name is often found in various Catholic symposia in Italy, where the problems of the modern world and geopolitics are discussed.
Now Zinoviy Sveda works in Ukraine in various directions. First, he holds exhibitions across the country on the Metropolitan of the Greek-Catholic Church of Ukraine, Andriy Sheptytsky. Second, he runs various structures and acts on their behalf as a public activist, for example the Cooperative Alliance of Ukraine.
However, all the companies he founded, judging by the data in the registries, are engaged in agriculture: for example, juice production or animal husbandry.
Sveda is a permanent professor at the Catholic University of Ukraine (where, by the way, Ulyana Suprun runs the rehabilitation medicine school). His constant theme is the poverty of the Ukrainians, which, according to him, is due to their “disorganization”. According to Zinovy, they must participate in the production of organic products and sell them to the European Union.
Judging from Sveda’s interview, he actively cooperates with the Polish Embassy in Ukraine and implements projects with it aimed at veterans of the ATO. In particular, they are trained in beekeeping.
Now Zinovy Sveda lives near Kiev and is a regular guest on television channels, where he acts as an agricultural expert and “specialist on all subjects”.
