The cost of gas in world markets has grown between 45% and 50% during the month.
Over the past month, the cost of gas on world markets increased between 45% and 50%. Increasing prices before the start of the heating season is a traditional trend in European markets.
This was stated by the chairman of the board of the Association of Energy Suppliers Artem Kompan.
“During the last month, the cost of gas on world markets has already grown by between 45 and 50%. The price of the resource for September varies from 5.5 to 5.8 hryvnia per cubic meter. This is just for today . There is a tendency for the price to continue to grow “, – said the expert.
Analysts are confident that the price of gas in Ukraine for the final consumer in winter will rise to 7 UAH per cubic meter. m, although there are also growth forecasts of up to 10 hryvnia per cubic meter. meter.
“National gas in the Ukrainian market is 70 percent, the rest is imported. Such an impact of imports on the price of gas could have been avoided if the gas produced in Ukraine were sold on the stock exchange,” adds Yuriy Korolchuk, an expert. in energy.
Energy market analyst Gennady Ryabtsev agrees with him, adding that the main player in this market, NJSC Naftogaz from Ukraine, is not interested in the formation of a price indicator within the country.
“He is interested in higher prices in the domestic market,” said the expert.
As a reminder, on August 1, a gas market for the population in Ukraine began to operate. This means that the state has introduced a fundamentally new approach to selling gas to households, and Ukrainians themselves can freely switch gas suppliers.
Gas suppliers, for their part, are obliged to publish current prices before the month begins.
